About Pour Point Depressant

DESCRIPTION:-

TAP-6565 is a broad range pour point depressant for neutral paraffinic mineral base oils as well as for reclaimed base oils including variety of paraffinic base oils.
It is basically Alkyl Methyl Methacrylate type polymer specially designed controlling polymerization reactions so as to get narrow range molecular weight distribution which is required for meeting broad spectrum performance for low temperature performance like Brookfield viscosity, Cold crankcase simulator test & Mini rotary viscometer test in mineral base oils.
TAP 6565 is recommended for use in wide range of lubricants including Automotive Lubricants, Industrial Lubricants and Speciality oils.

The depression achieved will depend upon the type of lubricant for which TAP 6565 is to be used. Typical test results with various dosages on base oils are given below.

Tap 6565 is excellent pour point depressant in various base oils (Group II/III) and also it has excellent compatibility with all kind of OCP/Dispersant VI improvers and Styrene isoprene based VI improvers.

Note: To achieve best pour depression results add TAP 6565 @ 0.1 to 0.5% in base oil, heat it @ 60-70 C with constant stirring for better dissolution and then add other additives.
